This outpatient counseling program´s primary focus is providing substance abuse treatment per the ASAM I Treatment guidelines. The population includes immigrants, refugees, political asylees as well as the general population. There are four social work clinicians, all at the masters level who use a variety of techniques to intervene with the substance abuser and their families. Services include individual, family, and group counseling with a cognitive/behavioral approach using Prochaska and Di Clemente´s curriculum from Living in Balance.
