Making your voice heard is an important part of the work being done to eliminate the use of drugs and substance abuse addiction. Letting your local legislators know your position on laws, bills and other issues concerning substance abuse is very important.

SB 211 passed this year, giving the substance abuse treatment and prevention system in Utah a boost in needed funding. The bill stops the sale of flavored malt beverages in grocery and convenience stores and puts them into state liquor stores. It is anticipated that this move will generate an estimated $2.3 million for the state.
