Substance Abuse Services

Prevention services targeted at schools and neighborhoods aim to reduce, decrease, or eliminate the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. Peer programs, life skills, parenting and family enhancement programs, teacher training, latch-key programs, ethnic-focused programs, and prenatal programs are just a few of the services provided by the Division through subcontracts. Aimed at educating individuals, prevention services provide the information and skills needed to make healthy life choices.
